Rebekah, who goes by Bedda, and Jeffrey (Jeff), met at their local singles ward and were secretly interested in each other most of the summer but neither made a move. Then, her cousin, David Johnson, who was Jeff neighbor and friend since they were babies, lined them up for the annual Johnson date night. After that, they couldn't be separated even though she went to BYU 5 days later. They would Skype for hours every night and made frequent weekend trips to be together. They were engaged after dating for 5 weeks and married a few months later on Dec. 28, 2012.
